Virginia Living Magazine has selected Maya Couture as a Top Wedding Vendor of 2013 and as such, we will appear in the premiere issue of Virginia Living Weddings. We are happy to add that this issue of Virginia Living Weddings, a special bound-in supplement to Virginia Living Magazine, will include a feature story on Maya. The issue, coming out in February, will celebrate the unique style and tradition of weddings done in grand Virginia fashion. For the fifth consecutive year, Maya Couture is dedicated to giving back to our military in Hampton Roads. Once again teaming up with Brides Across America, Maya Couture will have their annual event, as usual, the day after Veteran's Day, Monday, November 12th from 9am–7pm. This year, Maya will be donating up to 100 designer wedding gowns, priced from $1500–$3500 to qualifying military brides. Brides will need to pre-register for the event this year by clicking here. There is a required donation of $20 to pre-register. The proceeds will benefit Patriot Rovers. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the accessory sales at Maya Couture on 11/12/12 will go to the Navy Seal Foundation. We are happy to announce our gown made the cover of the Spring/Summer 2012 issue of VOW Magazine (See issue cover to the right.) The cover look is gown "Batista" for $2,335, and matching cathedral length veil for $570, both by Pronovias.
Maya Couture, for the fourth year in a row, participated in the Brides Across America campaign to give away designer wedding gowns to military brides. 2011 & 2010 Pick - The Knot Best of Weddings
Maya Couture was voted to receive The Knot best of Weddings two years in a row. The Knot surveys more than 20,000 recent brides each year to get real reviews on the top wedding vendors across the country. Each year, a new set of recent newlyweds is selected to participate in the survey.
2010 Best of Norfolk Gold Winner
Maya Couture was voted to receive the Pilot Media Reader's Choice Award. Each year, the Virginian Pilot Newspaper encourages its readers to vote for the best places in a plethora of categories for each of the seven cities. Based on these votes, Maya Couture was awarded the Gold in 2010 for the Best Formal Wear category in Norfolk.
2010 Retailer of the Year
Maya Couture was selected by the Retail Alliance Association as Retailer of the Year for 2010. "Running a business is no simple task; the market is challenging and the obstacles retailers face are difficult," said Retail Alliance President/CEO Susan Milhoan.
